I am beginning to realize the scope of this project I have taken on–and it feels overwhelming. I am going to be taking some time off work shortly so that I can concentrate on the crocodile and nothing else, and I think that will be great. I have been struggling with technical issues as I work toward joining Lolong’s 7 pieces into one gigantic smooth form. Once I have figured this out, I should make a lot more progress.
The exciting news is that I have started working with families to make the four-leggers, who will accompany Lolong in the installation. I was surprised and delighted with the variety of four-leggers the family artists have come up with–I will post some pictures soon. I will also begin working with classes at my school in October, showing them a presentation about Lolong and my project, and then inviting them to create four-leggers for the exhibit.
